1. The top 24 singles players and the top 12 doubles teams that each club can put forth each year.

2. The cities rotate the event each year: Los Angeles in 2006, San Diego in 2007, San Francisco in 2008, and so on.

3. The host city will make all site arrangements, as well as provide for a social dinner on the first night of the competition.

4. The host city will determine the per player cost of the event and collect fees from its own Cal Cup players and the other clubs' captains.

5. The winning city will hold the Cal Cup for 1 year and is responsible for bringing it to the following year's competition.
