League Coordinator to be determined.
We are looking for a coordinator. If anyone is interested please contact any board member.
- All participants must be current SDTF members. Cost for the league is $10 per person.
- Regularly scheduled play will occur at 12 p.m. on Sundays at Clairemont High School.
- The start and end date of the season will be posted as soon as they are determined.
- Teams will be scheduled to play each other twice during the course of the season (e.g., Team 1 will be scheduled to play Teams 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 twice).
- All teams will have a bye on Labor Day Weekend, and the 2 weekends in October when the SDTF club singles and doubles tournament are scheduled. No other byes will be scheduled for the season.
- If a team cannot play on a particular weekend, they may reschedule the match at a mutually agreeable time and location provided: (a) the team notifies the opposing team and the league coordinator (at leagues@SDTF.org) of its inability to play by 12 p.m. on the Saturday preceding the scheduled match; (b) the canceling team makes all the necessary court arrangements and provides the balls; and (c) the rescheduled match is concluded by Friday, December 3, 2005. Rather than reschedule the match, the canceling team may send a substitute(s) to play the regularly scheduled Sunday match. The substitute may be any current SDTF member.
- If a canceling team fails to comply with Rule (6), then a default occurs, and a winning score of 6-0, 6-0 will be awarded to the scheduled opposing team's percentage standings.
- Through the course of the season, the league coordinator will record each team's match win/loss record, as well as each team's total games won v. total games played percentage. These standings will be posted each week on the SDTF website.
- The doubles league champions' trophies will be awarded at the year-end SDTF holiday party to the team with the best match win/loss record. If there is more than one team with the same match win/loss record, the trophies will be awarded to the team with the best total games won v. total games played percentage.
