Pac Cup: Eligibility Requirements (Singles and Doubles) |
 |
|
Pac Cup eligibility has changed beginning 2011. No longer is a player’s USTA rating considered in determining Pac Cup eligibility.
1. Each club will make its own determination for the selection process of their teams.
2. Members wishing to play for the Pac Cup team must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Men must be rated no higher than "B" on the GLTA rankings (singles and doubles) on July 15, 2011.
- Women who meet the above criteria are also eligible as long as their WOMEN'S GLTA ranking (singles and doubles) is not higher than "A".
- Additionally, if an interested member achieves an "A" or "OPEN" GLTA ranking (singles or doubles) or a USTA rating above 3.5 on July 15, 2011, then that member will no longer be eligible to appear on the official Pac Cup Team roster.
- Additional Selection Criteria:
- Teams are allowed only one player that has no GLTA ranking on their roster.
- Team captains are responsible for verifying that players with no GLTA ranking have skills no higher than GLTA “B” level.
3. A list of eligible players from each club must be submitted to the Pac Cup Commissioner on July 31, 2011. This list will include up to 30 players in the SDTF who have expressed interest in being on the 2011 Pac Cup Team and meet the above criteria. If you are even remotely interested in playing on the 2011 team, please contact Frank January, Leonard Trinh and/or Jerry Sabio via e-mail to ensure your name is placed on the eligibility list. From this list of players, the Pac Cup team will be selected by August 15, 2011. |
