Confirmations |
Confirmation email notification will be your entry receipt. You will be notified at the time if you are wait-listed. Final confirmation emails will be sent out after the deadline with more detailed information about the weekend’s events. |

Consolations |
Consolation is available for singles only. Doubles will NOT have a consolation round. All singles players who do not win their first match played are automatically entered into the consolation draw. Byes or defaults do not count as a round played. |

Defaults |
A 15-minute default time will be strictly enforced for all matches. It is the responsibility of the player to stay in contact with the tournament desk during delays. The USTA point penalty system will also be enforced. A player is defaulted from a match when the player is not available for his or her scheduled match time, as stated in the draw, or when match has been called by tournament desk after scheduled match time has passed. |

Division Rules and Regulations |
The San Diego Open 25 is a GLTA sanctioned event and will abide by all GLTA / USTA Rules and Regulations. |

Divisions |
Men's Singles & Doubles: Open, A, B, C and D
The tournament draw committee has the right to reclassify a player to a higher division in accordance with GLTA rules and regulations. The player will be notified and given the opportunity to withdraw PRIOR to the draws being made.
The San Diego Open 25 allows players to enter different divisions between singles and doubles per your GLTA ranking. Women are welcome to play in the men’s division that is one division lower than their women’s GLTA ranking. |

Open Division: Highly Advanced Player, NTRP 5.0 and above
A Division: Advanced Player, NTRP 4.5
B Division:High Intermediate Player, NTRP 3.5 - 4.0
C Division: Low Intermediate Player, NTRP 3.0
D Division: Novice Player, NTRP 2.0 - 2.5 |

Doubles Partners |
Please identify your doubles partner. If you do not have a doubles partner, and wish the Tournament Director to assign you a partner, please indicate this information on the entry form. Payment must be received from both you and your doubles partner before your entry can be considered. |

Draws |
The draws will be made one week prior to the start of the tournament. Draws and starting times will be posted on the GLTA website (www.glta.net) and will also be included in the welcome packet which you will receive at the welcome party. If you are unable to attend the welcome party, please check the GLTA website to find your draw. Refunds will not be issued once the draw is made. |

D Division: Singles = 16 Doubles = 8
If a division does not have a minimum of eight entries, it may be canceled or combined with another division. Entrants in the canceled division will be given the option of a refund or participation in another division. |
| Entry Deadlines |
To qualify for the regular registration rate, entries must be postmarked no later than Friday, June 4, 2010 Registration deadline is midnight, Friday, June 4, 2010. A Late fee of $10 will be assessed if registration forms are accepted past deadline. |

Entry fees include your GLTA dues, your entry into the banquet and your t-shirt. On-line payment is available at www.sdtf.org/sdo. You will be assessed a $4.00 convenience fee for use of this option.

Single Elimination. All matches will be best two out of three sets, regular ad-scoring, 12-point tiebreakers. In the event weather forces scheduling changes, the Tournament Director reserves the right to invoke no-ad scoring or pro-sets in order to complete the tournament. There will be consolation for the Singles Draw only.

In the event weather forces scheduling changes, the Tournament Director reserves the right to invoke no-ad scoring or pro-sets in order to complete the tournament. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. |
| Late Fee |
Any entries postmarked after Friday, June 4, 2010, will be assessed a $10.00 late fee. |

Match Times |
The Tournament Committee will make every effort to notify players of scheduled match times. However, it is the player’s responsibility to verify match times on the posted draws. Verbal notification by the Tournament Committee may be done as a courtesy only, but official times will be on the draw sheets. Players will receive a draw she packet in their welcome packets. |

NSF Checks |
Any returned checks will be considered non-payment and the resulting charges incurred will be the responsibility of the player. No entry will be accepted without appropriate entry fees. A position in the draw will not be held for any entry without fees, but a player can re-enter at the time full fees are received, if space is available. |

Refunds |
Refunds will not be issued once the draw is made.
Refunds will not be issued after June 10, 2009. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. Entrants in a canceled division will be given the option of a refund or participation in another division. |

Schedule of Play |
Play begins early morning Saturday, July 3, 2010 and concludes Monday, July 5. 2010. |

Seedings |
Seeding will be determined by using current GLTA rankings. Consideration may be given to recent and verifiable results in USTA sanctioned tournaments, head to head records, or other pertinent information. Tournament Director reserves the right to make the final decision based on GLTA/USTA rules. |

| Trophies |
Tournament Trophies will be presented to the champions and finalists in singles and doubles in each division of the main draw and to the singles consolation champions. |

Waiting List |
A wait list will be maintained if more entries are received than can be accommodated in the draw. As players withdraw from the tournament, wait-listed players will become eligible to participate. Once the draw has been made, no players who would be seeded in a division will be allowed to substitute. |

Waiver of Responsibility |
You must sign the Waiver of Responsibility located on the bottom of the entry form. No one will be allowed to participate in the tournament until the waiver is signed. |
|
Welcome Party |
The welcome party will take place Friday evening, July 2, 2010. Site and time to be announced. Welcome packets will be distributed at that time. Packets will include draws, t-shirt, program, and other miscellaneous items donated by sponsors and/or other organizations. |
