Grand Prix Singles Ladder: Frequency of Play
  1. Players must play at least one match (issued or accepted) per period.

  2. The Ladder Chair will drop from the ladder any player who does not play at least one challenge match during each period. If this happens, he/she may rejoin the ladder by doing the following:
  • If a player in position 1-30 is dropped for not playing at least one match during the period, he/she may issue a challenge no higher than position 30 on the ladder, with the exception of the first two weeks of each period (see “Challenge Procedures”). If the challenger loses he/she goes to the bottom of the ladder.

  • If a player in position 31-or lower is dropped for not playing at least one match during the period, he/she may issue a challenge no higher than the position he/she held on the ladder before being dropped, with the exception of the first two weeks of each period (see “Challenge Procedures”). If the challenger loses he/she goes to the bottom of the ladder.
