- To endorse competition and improvement amongst the members of the SDTF.
- To encourage the social aspect of tennis and promote sportsmanship amongst SDTF members.
- To assist in the formation of the Cal Cup and Pac Cup teams.
- To assist in ranking players participating in Team Tennis play.
- To assist in ranking members participating in the Club Singles and Doubles Championships.
