Team Tennis Fall 2008: Basic
  1. Entry fee is $25 per player.

  2. Deadline to enter is midnight, August 26, 2008. The application form should be received by the Commissioners by this date. The application form should be mailed with enough time to ensure that it is received by this date. The application form may also be hand-delivered by the deadline. The mailing address may be acquired by emailing the Team Tennis Commissioners.

  3. Draw Party will be on the weekend of August 30, 2008. The specific time and location will be announced via email.

  4. Play begins September 14, 2008, at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM.

  5. There will be 5 weeks of scheduled play. There are some off weeks due to other GLTA and SDTF events.

  6. The player roster will be limited to 6 teams with 10 players per team (60 players). The Commissioners may alter team size depending on the number of entries received by the deadline. Teams play each other at least once.

  7. Each player plays one singles no-ad pro-set (first to 6 games) and one doubles no-ad pro-set (first to 8 games) against each team.

  8. Half the matches will be played at the Peninsula Tennis Club (PTC) tennis courts and the other half will be played at the San Diego High School (SDHS) tennis courts. Other courts may be used if these courts are not available.

  9. Doubles matches are worth 1½ points per match for each team.

  10. Singles matches are worth 1 point per match for each team.

  11. At the end of the regular season, only the top 4 teams in the final standings will advance to the playoffs.

  12. The semis and the finals will both be played on the same day (November 16, barring a rainout). The location(s) of the semis and finals will be announced on a later date.
