  Spring Team Tennis 2012: Basics
  1. Entry fee is $30 per player. Those wishing to participate only as an alternate do not pay an entry fee.

  2. Regular players and alternates must be current members of the San Diego Tennis Federation.

  3. Deadline to register is Monday, January 23, 2012 @ 7:00 PM. The application can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Team Tennis Commissioners. The mailing address is provided on the application form.

  4. The player roster will be limited to 6 teams with 10 players per team. A waiting list will be maintained once 60 registrations have been received, and those not assigned to a team may serve as alternates.

  5. Draw Party will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 in the clubhouse at Balboa Tennis Center at 6:00 PM.

  6. Regular season will encompass five Sundays between February 5 and March 4, followed by the playoffs on March 18. The season may be extended to March 25 to allow for a makeup weekend in case of cancellation due to inclement weather during the regular season.

  7. Matches will take place at either 9:00 am or 11:00 am at locations to be determined.

  8. Each player plays one singles no-ad pro-set (first to 6 games) and one doubles no-ad pro-set (first to 8 games) against opponents from each team. The receiving team/player will choose the side (ad or deuce court) to receive the serve on the deciding point.

  9. Playoffs will consist of semi-final matches between the top four teams and a final match between the winners of the semis.
