West Coast Cup: Eligibility Requirements (Singles and Doubles) |
 |
|
West Coast Cup eligibility is determined as follows:
1. Each club will make its own determination for the selection process of their teams.
2. Members wishing to play for the West Coast Cup team must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Men must be rated no higher than "C" on the GLTA rankings (singles and doubles) on July 1, 2011.
- Women who meet the above criteria are also eligible as long as their WOMEN'S GLTA ranking (singles and doubles) is not higher than "B".
- Additionally, if an interested member achieves a “B” or "A" or "OPEN" GLTA ranking (singles or doubles) on July 1, 2011, then that member will no longer be eligible to appear on the official West Coast Cup Team roster.
- Additional Selection Criteria:
- Teams are allowed only one player that has no GLTA ranking on their roster.
- Team captains are responsible for verifying that players with no GLTA ranking have skills no higher than GLTA “C” level.
3. A list of eligible players from each club must be submitted to the West Coast Cup Commissioner on July 1, 2011. This list will include up to 30 players in the SDTF who have expressed interest in being on the 2011 West Coast Cup Team and meet the above criteria. If you are even remotely interested in playing on the 2011 team, please contact the West Coast Cup captain (wccup@sdtf.org) via e-mail to ensure your name is placed on the eligibility list. From this list of players, the West Coast Cup team will be selected by July 15, 2011. |
