Details

The tournament draw committee has the right to reclassify a player to a higher division in accordance with GLTA rules and regulations. The player will be notified and given the opportunity to withdraw PRIOR to the draws being made. The San Diego Open 37 allows players to enter different divisions between singles and doubles per your GLTA ranking.

If a division does not have a minimum of eight entries, it may be canceled or combined with another division. Entrants in the canceled division will be contacted with the option of a refund or participation in another division.

Waiting List

A waitlist will be maintained if more entries are received than can be accommodated in the draw. As players withdraw from the tournament, wait-listed players will become eligible to participate. Once the draw has been made, no players who would be seeded in a division will be allowed to substitute.

Seedings

Seeding will be determined by using current GLTA rankings. Consideration may be given to recent and verifiable results in USTA-sanctioned tournaments, head-to-head records, or other pertinent information. Tournament Director reserves the right to make the final decision based on GLTA/USTA rules.

Registration & Entry Fees

Register using the GLTA Tournament Software Registration Page. The entry deadline is TBD.

Doubles Partners

Please identify your doubles partner. If you do not have a doubles partner, and wish the Tournament Director to assign you a partner, please indicate this information on the entry form. Payment must be received from both you and your doubles partner before your entry can be considered. We will need people to be partnered up by TBD. Please make sure to finalize your partner decisions by then. Contact sdo@sdtf.org if you need to contact another player in your division to partner up with. Otherwise, our tournament director will randomly pair you with another player who needs a partner TBD. If no partners are left, we may ask the last person to register without a partner to step out of the doubles division.

Entry Fees & Payment

Entry fees include your GLTA dues and a SDO 38th t-shirt.

Regular Entry Fee:

  • One event: TBD
  • Two events: TBD

Any returned checks will be considered non-payment, and the resulting charges incurred will be the responsibility of the player. No entry will be accepted without appropriate entry fees. A position in the draw will not be held for any entry without fees, but a player can re-enter at the time full fees are received, if space is available.

Confirmations

Confirmation email notification will be your entry receipt. You will be notified at the time if you are wait-listed. Final confirmation emails will be sent out after the deadline with more detailed information about the weekend's events.

Refunds

Refunds will not be issued after TBD.

No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. Entrants in a canceled division will be given the option of a refund or participation in another division. Player withdrawals will be refunded paid entry fees minus a $3 service charge.
